In the nineties, a phrase called "value engineering" appeared. This is when the supermarkets redeveloped their own label
products to use cheaper and cheaper ingredients in order to hit a pre determined price point. This would mean reducing the
content of cheese in a recipe and replacing it with a cheese flavour.
After a couple of decades of value engineering, we have ended up in a world of "cheese flavoured" products instead cheesy
products.
Bring back cheesy. We love cheesy!
We're Nuts about Nuts!
We're sorry if you suffer from allergies, but we love Nuts.
We also love Gluten, Milk, Seeds and Eggs (as long as they're free range) too.
If you do suffer from allergies, do not eat our cakes...
Our cakes ar designed for the people who are fed up of going out for a meal, and being fed Nut-Free Pesto
(why would you want a pesto with it's main ingredient missing?).
There are certain allergens we don't use, like Crustaceans, but mostly because we don't think there would
be much demand for a Prawn Cake!
We believe that food should be given the time that it deserves, to develop the traditional flavours. This happens
because we put the time, and the passion for what we do, and where we source our ingredients.
